Before The Tideborn Guild, I trained as a coastal engineer and completed a PhD studying how oceans and coastlines behave. During those years,
I wrote articles, reports, and conference material for both specialists and the general public and I learned something essential: clarity matters, no matter who you are speaking to.
Over time, I found myself drawn to language as much as to science. I enjoyed explaining complex ideas, making them understandable without losing their substance. That is what eventually led me to become a full-time EN to FR translator specializing in two areas I care deeply about:
